Reaching New Heights

Many of our readers may know I thoroughly enjoy hiking and climbing as my hobby. This past week I had the opportunity to climb Crestone Needle in Colorado.

Out of all the 14,000 foot peaks in Colorado, Crestone Needle is one of the most difficult to summit. You can check out the peak at www.14ers.com.

The distance of this climb is not the biggest challenge. It’s the intensity of the climb that is most daunting. We started at 4:45 a.m., reached the peak at 9:45 a.m. and finally finished at 5 p.m.. The climb included some great views, tough climbing sections and a brief - but intense- thunder and lightning snow storm.

Without the strong team of climbers around me there is no way I would have made this summit. This very concept is the key to success I've found in climbing, family and business.

If you are one who enjoys this kind of thrill, I would highly recommend climbing this peak.

I have included a few pictures of our climb to enjoy.
